Spiritual Leadership

Description

I am 50 year old Safia Kausar and will hereby share with you the story of my village. Once upon a time we had a Peer called Tofail Shah Syed in our village and whatever he said became true. One day, as he left his home, he passed by a buffalo that wagged its tail, splattering mud onto his clothes. He said: "Go away and die" and, on the spot, the buffalo died. Thereafter, my father got the spiritual leadership (khilafat) [in the village], and, just like Peer Shah, his predictions also came true. My father used to treat every patient in our village. Peer Shah loved my father and called him Black Cobra (kala nagh). When we were children, there were three days of festivals at our home, where many people came, from dancers to garbage collectors. This system continued for a long time until Peer Shah passed away. After that, his son started the khilafat, which continued for generations. Similarly, when my father passed away, my brother took over the khilafat, which has been going on for quite some time now.
