Mystical Legend of Shimshal
Description
About 600 years ago in our village [Shimshal] lived a man named Ghulamchi. Remarkably, he had wings on both sides of his body and was known for his strength. His brother's name was Murad who was one day visited by a Jinn. The jinn told him [Murad] that he is here to kill his brother [Ghulamchi]. The Jinn forced Ghulamchi into his house and slaughtered him with a knife. When Murad entered the house to retrieve his brother's body, he found the house full of Jinn's. Some people believe this tale to be true, while others think it is a myth.
Another tale tells of a man who went hunting. While preparing bread roti for himself in a hut, a young woman entered. She was wearing traditional clothes but, the man noticed that her shoes were made of rubber while local people wore leather shoes known as sandals. Curious, he asked her where she was going. "I'm going to Shimshal" , she replied. "Why are you going there?" he asked. "I'm getting married there" , she said. The man was not afraid but didn't ask her for her name or whom she was marrying in Shimshal. As the woman left, he noticed it was snowing outside. When he followed her outside, there were no footprints on the snow. All of a sudden, he realized that she might not be human and was terrified. Some people say that when you touch such beings, you don't feel anything it is like an imagination.
