The Clever Jakal and the Hunter

Description

Assalamu Alaikum. This tale came to me from my grandfather, it is very famous throughout Cholistan, and goes like this: Once upon a time there was a jackal that was famous in the entire village for his intelligence. One day, a local hunter saw this jackal and decided to hunt it. As soon as the jackal noticed that a hunter was planning to hunt him, he ran away. While running, he reached a sand dune where the hunter discovered him and they came face to face. The Jackal cleverly turned to the hunter and said to him: "I am the king of this jungle, if you hunt me, the queen will be very angry at you and she will take revenge on you." Hearing this, the hunter was afraid that if the jakal was telling the truth, then very bad things might happen to him and he gave up the intention of hunting and went back his way. The jackal thought by himself how his intelligence had made even the most cunning hunter helpless.
