Khasar's Journey: From Fertile Lands to Mystical Mountains

Description

Assalamu Alaikum, I am sharing here the tale of Khasar in Balti. He was a high-ranking angel whom Allah cast his wrath upon and expelled him from Paradise, just as Adam was expelled. By Allah's command, he was placed in an old woman's womb. He made certain agreements with Allah, much like satan did. Khasar asked for some compensation from Allah, and it was granted. Our ancestors used to say that Khasar was a supernatural being and it is said that he was like the wind; he could move mountains and transform lush greenery into barren land. One day, he was playing with his supernatural beings in Lanka Sarbo. Someone came and said: Khasar, while you are busy playing here, Queen Hlamo has been taken hostage by the King of Kholyol with his soldiers, and all her goods and livestock have also been taken. Khasar got up, grabbed Hlamo's father by the collar, and, grinding his teeth, set out towards Kholyol. Overcoming all obstacles along the way, Khasar finally reached Thongal with its polo ground under the sound of the river Braq Zhugo. People used to trade with China along this route, which the locals called Yarkin's way, and it is also known as the Biafo Glacier [area]. When Khasar reached this place two mountain gates were rapidly opening and closing. Khasar asked himself: "What shall I do as my horse is not fast enough to pass through these gates. He then took an arrow from his bow and shot it towards the gate. The arrow got stuck between the two gates. Since Khasar's horse and the arrow had the same speed, Khasar said to himself: My horse will pass through, but its tail will get stuck. [Indeed,] when Khasar speeded up his horse and tried to pass through the gate, the horse's tail got stuck. Khasar pulled his sword and was about to cut the horse's tail when a voice from the gate said: Khasar, you are going to fetch the most beautiful princess of Kholyol, isn't it shameful to ride a tailless horse? And isn't it shameful for me that I didn't get Khasar and his horse? Why don't we make a deal? The King of Kholyol has two sons; bring me their heads, and I will let you pass. Thus, Khasar and the gate negotiated successfully, and Khasar set out to retrieve his princess from Kholyol.
