Life Conditions

Description

I remember the house we lived in before 1960 and the way we lived. All human beings lived in an equal manner regardless of their wealth. Houses were divided into three parts: on the one side lived the animals, on the other side people slept with their children, and on the third side we cooked. In winter, new born goats and sheep were kept in the same house where we all lived to protect them from the cold temperatures. We used to have dinner before sunset as there was no electricity. during summer days, we brought wood from the mountains and kept it in the house. We used thin pieces of dry juniper wood to set up light and called this tolching with which we lived and worked at night.
