Traditional Remedies of Yaseen Thui

Description

In Yaseen Thui, the villagers have long relied on local herbs and traditional remedies to treat illnesses and maintain their health. Before modern medicine became accessible, these natural treatments were vital for the well-being of the community. When someone fell ill, they often turned to the use of local herbs. In cases of blood deficiency, people used sandalwood. They would purchase small pieces of sandalwood, grind them into a powder using a stone, and mix it with white sugar to consume. Jowz another herb, was used to increase blood production. This herb was powdered and consumed with milk to unfold its beneficial effects. For back pain, villagers relied on herbs locally known as jishchawa and on sharge nage. These remedies provided relief from discomfort and were widely used. Another important herb was laka hoy which, though rare, was highly valued for its health benefits. The villagers used it extensively to maintain their health and prevent illnesses. To alleviate general body pain, the villagers made a remedy called khach hoy. This outcome of this preparation was a commonly used pain killer. The preparation and use of these traditional practices and remedies highlight the resourcefulness of the people of Yaseen Thui and their deep connection to the natural world. They were able to address their health needs effectively and sustainably.
