The Mysterious Spring of Bagrote
Description
In Bagrot Valley there used to be many water springs, but now their numbers have dwindled, and they are becoming scarce. While some springs can still be found in the plain areas, people are mostly unaware of them. One notable place in the valley is called "Bi Gador" by the locals. It's where a glacier tongue meets the soil, creating a unique and beautiful landscape. Though the area is often covered by snow, it is truly breath-taking. If you visit, you might not want to leave and would love to stay there forever.
According to local legends from the 18th century, there used to be a couple of fairies living around a spring in this area. They cultivated the land and grew crops, living a solitary and happy life. This tale involves a community called the Diran people, who lived in the area around Diran Peak, in front of Rakaposhi. The Dirans reportedly saw the fairy couple, who were both deaf, working happily in their fields. Jealous of their happiness and wanting to take their grains, the Dirans attacked the couple. In their attempt to capture the fairies, the man escaped into the air, while the woman, before fleeing, left a bread-baking stove on the spring. After she left, the water in the spring stopped flowing, and it has not flown since.
