The three Rocky Hills and the Jinn
Description
In Teenjos village is a spot called Chutik Bahu. A little above place, there is a small rocky hill approximately the width of a plane tree and the height of a eucalyptus tree. There are three such hills in total whereby above Chutik Bahu, an ascent leads to these hills. On top of the main hill, there is a large, flat rock about the size of a room, with three or four smaller rocks on top of it. When I asked my elders about the tale behind these rocks, they told me that long ago, jinns lived there with their children. The large flat rock served as their grinding stone for flour. The jinns resided there until weather, wind, rain, and floods caused land erosion, destroying their habitat. Only the three rocky hills remained. Thereafter the large rock, once the jinns' grinding stone, transformed into a flat stone due to nature's process. The smaller rocks became what was left of the flour they ground, turning into stone over time. People still say that if anyone ventures near these hills at night, they can hear the sounds of grinding.
