The Mulberry Tree and Pearl
Description
Once upon a time in a forest of our native village Bagrot, there was a mulberry tree and on that mulberry tree was a very precious pearl. One day the pearl fell from the tree to the ground and a bird came and picked it up. Since the mulberry tree was in love with the pearl, the tree asked the bird: "Please return my pearl to me. The bird refused and said: I will not return you the pearl. The mulberry replied: If you don't return me the pearl, I am going to complain to the wild thorn that is right next to you and the wild thorn is going to prick you. The bird said: Go ahead and complain to the wild thorn. I'll see what Wild Thorn will do. The tree referred to the wild thorn and said: Hey, wild thorn, can you please prick the bird so that the bird can return me the pearl? The wild thorn said: No, I have done enough pricking for the day. I am not going to do it today. Then mulberry told the wild thorn: If you don't prick her, I'm going to ask the fire to burn you. The thorn said: You can go ahead and ask the fire to burn me. The mulberry tree referred to the fire and asked the fire: Hey fire, can you please burn that wild thorn for me? The fire said: I have burned enough things today and not going to burn anything else anymore. Then the tree said: If you don't burn her, I'm going to ask water to extinguish you. The fire replied: Feel free to ask the water to extinguish me, I don't care. The tree referred to the water and asked the water: Can you please extinguish the fire. The water also refused and said: I have done enough extinguishing for the day and am not going to extinguish that fire today. Thereafter the tree told the water: If you don't extinguish the fire, I will ask the cow to drink you. The water said: Go ahead and give it a shot. Then the tree referred to the wild cow which was nearby and asked the cow: Hey cow, can you drink the water? The cow said: I am full. I have drunk enough water for the day and am not going to drink even a single drop of more water for the day. The tree told the cow that if you don't drink the water, I'm going to ask a human, to slaughter you. The cow said: I don't care, you can ask the human. The tree asked the human to cut the cow, but the human refused as the human was weaving wool. So finally, the tree told the woman: I'm going to ask the wild winds which are on the mountains to come and stop you from working and to spread the wool that you are gathering. The tree went to the mountains and asked the winds: Hey, you are my old friends, you helped me during the spring time, you helped me during the autumn time, can you please come and spread the wool?" All of a sudden, there was a big gush of wind which started to blow away the wool. Seeing this, the human ran towards the cow to cut it, the cow went to drink the water, the water went to extinguish the fire, the fire went to burn the wild thorn, the wild thorn went to prick the bird, and once the bird was pricked, the bird returned the pearl back to the tree.
