The Silent Return: A shepherd's Encounter with the Fairies

Description

I am Ehsan Ali Danish from Sermik, Baltistan and have heard this tale from my elders. The people of our village used to take their animals to graze in the mountain pastures (broq in Balti), and they still do. This traditional practice is called bajun, which means taking the animals together. The people whose cows were taken to the pasture would take turns milking them. One day, a person whose turn it was suddenly returned to the village and was unable to speak. The villagers said that they prayed for his recovery and tried traditional treatments, but they failed, and the person did not recover. The villagers believed that this person had been affected by mythical fairies. Eventually, one day, that person went away with the fairies to their fairyland.
