Departure to the Summer Pasture

Description

For Salgirah, we all used to go to Pamir and celebrate Cheneer. Before our departure, we brought a chaneer to our village [of Shimshal]. We also used to prepare special food and sherbet [wheat flour cooked with milk and fresh butter] garnished with peas which we took to chiraman [place of festival congregation]. Thereafter, we de-parted to chiragah [the pasture]. Back and forth we walked on the same difficult path and carried our children on our backs. [In Sujerab] there was no water and we therefore had to carry water from the spring with our hands. It was a very difficult time for us.
