Sinking of a Whole Battalion into Sheoshar Lake

Description

Here is another tale that our elders have told us. Before accession to Pakistan, Astore used to be ruled by the British. At that time in winter, a whole battalion was moving from Pakistan51 to Kashmir. When they reached Deosai Sheoshar Lake from Astore they did not realize that under the snow was an iced lake. So, the whole bat-talion set up their tents to spend the night. After dinner, they went to sleep. As they slept, the lake cover became soft as a consequence of their cooking and body heat. Eventually, the ice broke and the entire battalion of Britain sunk there.
