A Frightening Encounter in Bonji

Description

Many years ago when washrooms were quite different from today, I was living in Bonji (Gilgit) far away from the centre of the village, built along a water reservoir with a small wall on top. One night, around midnight, I felt the need to use the washroom, which was 200 meters from the house. There was a bit of light from the moon, though it was often obscured by clouds. The washroom had no roof or door. When I sat down, I noticed something that looked like a stick in front of me which initially appeared to be a tree. However, as I watched, it began to grow taller and eventually became taller than anything else in sight. Fear paralyzed me and I even couldn't utter a prayer and tie my trousers properly, my legs felt heavy and unresponsive. As I struggled to make my way back, I finally reached a [neighbour's] house and stumbled inside. The man inside told me that this place was notorious for such jinn [eerie] encounters and that one should never go to the washroom alone at night.
