The Vanishing Woman

Description

I am Hajatalluah and in my youth was a shepherd. One day, one of my cattle went missing, so I walked to the pastures to look for it. Near the pasture, there was a graveyard where I saw a woman standing. At first, I thought she must be a villager, but then I realized it was unusual for a villager to be in that place at that time. As I looked around to see if she was with anyone else, I saw nobody, and suddenly, the woman vanished. Locals believed that this region was inhabited by many ghosts and other supernatural creatures, and they were scared to travel here alone at night. Most people noticed that these beings resembled known faces, but also remarked that their feet faced the opposite direction of their faces. Nowadays we no longer encounter such unusual sightings or voices which may be due to the spread of religion. As religion spread, people began to believe that these entities were among the creatures of Allah and could not harm humans. If we ever felt uneasy, we would recite verses from the Holy Quran (Ayat-ul-Kursi).
